Cumbrian MPs fact-finding session
The six Cumbrian MPs held a fact-finding session into
a potential geological disposal facility in West Cumbria on 10th January 2013. The Cross-Party Committee of MPs considered the nature of the decision being taken by the three
Councils, and heard evidence on the geological suitability of West
Cumbria. The session was held in private.
The Committee did not issue a formal report, but a transcript of
the session and the written evidence that was submitted in advance was
published.
This session was separate to the work of the West Cumbria MRWS
Partnership.
